Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar led on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 the opening and ceremonial drive thru of North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Balagtas Northbound Entry from Plaridel Bypass Road that connects NLEX to the second and third district areas of the Province of Bulacan. The opening of 600-meter NLEX Northbound Entry will facilitate ease of travel by avoiding the very tight traffic in Bocaue and Sta Rita toll gate just to go north direction along the NLEX. Others present in the event are NLEX Corporation President and General Manager J. Luigi L. Bautista, Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando, DPWH Assistant Secretary Eugenio R. Pipo Jr, DPWH Region 3 Director Roseller Tolentino, DPWH Bulacan 1st District Engineer Henry Alcantara, Asst. District Engineer Aris Ramos, and other NLEX and local government officials.
