Construction of additional floors by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the College of Education and Science building of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela (PLV) Main Campus in Maysan, Valenzuela City is in full swing with the set completion by December 2019.

In his report to DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, Metro Manila Third District Engineer Casiano P. De Guzman said that the construction of four (4) additional floors will address the university’s problem on classroom shortage.

Before construction, the aforementioned building only had two floors which catered to a limited number of students.

Secretary Villar sees the expansion as an opportunity for the university to improve its efficiency.

“Given the growing population of PLV’s students, the project shall benefit its whole community as it will be able to maximize the limited space and accommodate more students,” Secretary Villar said.

In coordination with the local government unit of Valenzuela City, DPWH commenced construction December last year.

The project has a total budget of 102.72 million pesos.
