
Weekend repair works of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will resume covering various road sections in National Capital Region (NCR) starting 11 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2019.
With given clearance from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), DPWH-NCR will undertake road repair at Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA), southbound directions from Bansalangin to North Avenue (U-Turn Slot), 5th lane from sidewalk; Magallanes-Baclaran Bus Stop to Magallanes-Alabang Bus Stop, outer lane; and at the northbound direction from Main Avenue to P. Tuazon tunnel, 1st lane from sidewalk.
Road rehabilitation works will also be undertaken at the southbound directions of Circumferential Road 5 (C5) near Market Market; and at the northbound direction of Katipunan Avenue/C5 after C.P. Garcia Street, truck lane.
In Quezon City, reblocking activities will also be implemented at the northbound directions of A. Bonifacio Avenue, near Selecta Drive, 1st lane from sidewalk; and Batasan/San Mateo Road, fronting Petron, 1st lane from center island; at the eastbound directions of Quirino Highway, from Salvia Street to before Belfast Road, outer lane; and Elliptical Road, after Maharlika Street, 8th lane from outer sidewalk; and at the westbound direction of General Luis Street, from Rebisco Road to SB Diversion Road.
Other roads that will undergo reblocking activity include the southbound direction of Taguig City, fronting Palar Village.
DPWH-NCR Director Ador G. Canlas said that the affected road lanes will be passable by 5 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2019.
In the meantime, motorists are advised to take alternate routes due to expected traffic build-up on affected areas.
