Residents of all ages in Barangay Kaligayahan, Quezon City can now enjoy health and recreational benefits as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed the 14.85-million 3-in-1 multi-purpose building to house the health center, office for senior citizens, and day-care center.
Situated at King Fisher Street, Barangay Kaligayahan, Quezon City, DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the two-storey building which started construction in August 2018 was designed to cater different needs of residents in the area.
In a report submitted by DPWH-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) Ador G. Canlas, Secretary Villar cited that aside from its three (3) main functions, the multi-purpose building project also includes the provision of a fire alarm system, comfort rooms for men and women, air-conditioning units, and emergency exit stairs.
“This project is deemed important in the community, especially the health center equipped with a doctor’s consultation office, dental clinic, laboratory, and Tuberculosis - Directly Observed Therapy Short Course (TB-DoTS) rooms,” said Secretary Villar.
“We guarantee that DPWH will continue to build infrastructure projects like this to maintain healthy communities in both urban and rural areas of the country,” added Secretary Villar.
