Addressing the problem of overcrowding in Kibenton Integrated School in Impasug-ong, Bukidnon, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completes the construction of a two-storey school building for its Junior High School department.

DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the construction of the eight-classroom building mainly intends to provide a more conducive learning environment for the students of the school who are residing in barangays Kubayan, Kawayan, and Kibenton.

“Given the disparity in the number of students and rooms, rest assured that the department will continue to support the Department of Education (DepEd) in undertaking these kinds of projects to provide the younger generation of Bukidnon and the country as a whole better opportunities to maximize their potentials,” Secretary Villar added.

Among the attendees of the turning over ceremony held last September 6, 2019 were DPWH Bukidnon 1st District Engineering Office (DEO) District Engineer Alberto Cainghog, Bukidnon 2nd District Congressman John Flores, school officials, and other municipal officers.

The P16 million project was funded under the basic DepEd Educational Facilities Fund (BEFF).
