DPWH resumes repair works on EDSA and other Metro Manila roads

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) was given clearance by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to conduct reblocking and repair activities at Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) and other Metro Manila roads between 11 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2019 until 5 a.m. Monday, November 11, 2019.

Three (3) sections of EDSA will undergo repair works specifically the southbound direction from Camp Crame Gate to Annapolis Street, beside MRT; after Muñoz to Bansalangin Street, 1st lane from sidewalk; and at the northbound direction after Aurora Boulevard to New York Street, 3rd lane from sidewalk.

In Quezon City, road rehabilitation works will cover the southbound direction of G. Araneta from Bayanin Road intersection; at the westbound direction of Quirino Highway from Nightingale to Zabarte Road, inner lane; and General Luis Street from Samonte Street to SB Diversion Road; at the eastbound direction of Elliptical Road after Maharlika Street, 6th lane from outer sidewalk; and at the northbound direction of Katipunan Avenue/Circumferential Road 5 (C5) from after C.P. Garcia Street, in front of U.P. Town Center, truck lane; A. Bonifacio Avenue near Marvex Drive, 2nd lane from sidewalk; Congressional Avenue Extension from corner Luzon Avenue, 2nd lane from center island; and from Tandang Sora Avenue, truck lane; and Luzon Avenue before Congressional Avenue Extension, 1st lane from center island.

Other road section that is scheduled for reblocking maintenance includes the northbound direction of Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard after Magsaysay Bridge going to Quiapo, inner lane.

DPWH – National Capital Region (NCR) Director Ador G. Canlas advised the motorists to use possible alternate routes due to anticipated traffic slowdown in affected areas.
