The Department of Public Works and Highways-Isabela Second District Engineering Office (DPWH-ISDEO) is currently working on the maintenance repair of the Minanga Bridge which was ravaged during the onslaught of Typhoon Falcon last July.
The 360-linear meter bridge located in Barangay Minanga, San Mariano, Isabela, was damaged on the left side bridge approach. The eroded affected area spans to 50 meters.
District Engineer Reynato M. Ubina said that a budget of P1,924,958.62 was allotted for the on-going maintenance repair which is expected to be completed this September.
“At present, progress rate is at 92%. We are doubling our time and efforts to speed up the repair of Minanga Bridge for it to be totally usable to the public,” DE Ubina added.
“This bridge is a vital link from Barangay Minanga to the commercial areas in the town of San Mariano and about 4,850 vehicles ply this bridge daily. We are positive to complete this repair project on time,” he ended.
The on-going repair project is funded under the requested Calamity Fund and CY 2019 Annual Maintenance Work Program (AMWP).
