A new four-storey school building was recently completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to address the significant demand for classrooms in Camarin D Elementary School in Caloocan City.
DPWH National Capital Region Director Ador G. Canlas said the new school building costing P48.46 Million was built to cope with the increasing number of enrollees of public elementary students.
“This is a 4-storey school building with 20 classrooms that can accommodate at least 800 students – 40 in each classroom. Designed and built in compliance with the latest DPWH standards, this building can also withstand high-magnitude earthquakes,” said Director Canlas.
“We hope that with this newly-completed building, we will be able to provide improved facilities and enhanced learning opportunities for the students of Camarin D Elementary School,” added Director Canlas.’’
The construction of school building in Camarin D Elementary School was implemented by DPWH Metro Manila III District Engineering Office under District Engineer Casiano P. De Guzman. It was funded under the 2018 Basic Education Facilities Fund (BEFF) of the Department of Education (DepEd).
