Top officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways led by Secretary Mark A. Villar received the boxes of N95 face masks donated by the Chinese Embassy for distribution to affected residents as well as for the use of the deployed DPWH workers in the clearing, evacuation and relief operations to prevent the inhalation of smaller dust particles spewed by the phreatic eruption of the Taal Volcano. The donation of 7,000 pieces of N95 face masks by the Chinese Embassy was facilitated by Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain, in-charge of DPWH Unified Project Management Office (UPMO) Operations and Technical Services.
