
The Department of Public Works and Highways’ construction and improvement of the access road leading to Napidad View Deck and Water Falls in Takulao, Mataltala and Pao, Dumalneg, Ilocos Norte is about to be completed.
In his report to Regional Director Melanio C. Briosos, Project Engineer Angelito A. Dian said that the trail road project in Dumalneg, Ilocos Norte which was started on March 31, 2015 has posted 95% accomplishment to date.
The project costing P66.528 Million involves concrete paving of 2.50 kilometers carriageway and construction of lined canal, catch basin, and pipe culverts slope protection and paraphet wall.
The construction and improvement of the access road leading to Napidad View Deck and Water Falls in Dumalneg, Ilocos Norte is an identified tourism road infrastructure project for Northern Luzon.
A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed by the DPWH, Department of Tourism (DOT), and the technical assistance of Research Education and Institutional Development Foundation (REID) to established a convergence program on enhancing tourism access in priority clusters, development areas and sites in the country in support of the goals and targets of the National Tourism Development Plan and Philippine Development Plan for 2011-2016.
Dumalneg is located 73 kilometers northeast of Laoag City and bounded by the Municipalities of Pagudpud on the north, Adams on the east, Vintar on the south and Bangui on the west.
