
A new three (3) storey laboratory building is underway to accommodate some 400 Senior High School (SHS) students in Libertad National High School (NHS) in the town of Abulug, Cagayan.
Citing a report from DPWH Region II Director Loreta M. Malaluan, DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the on-going educational facility project houses six (6) laboratory rooms and 3 classrooms that are fully equipped with standard toilet and sanitary facilities, storage rooms, water collection and fire alarm system.
The P29.343-million project is implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) through its Cagayan Second District Engineering Office (CSDEO).
DPWH earlier completed a 3-storey laboratory building with two (2) laboratory rooms and five (5) classrooms for Libertad NHS on August 2019 amounting to P19.655-million.
The construction of laboratory building projects is a joint undertaking of DPWH and the Department of Education (DepEd) that aims to provide quality educational facilities and other classrooms in public schools around the country.
