
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a new access road leading to the famous Ditabuyan Falls in Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija.
DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the construction of the 2-kilometer road in Barangay Cadaclan will provide better access for tourists visiting the emerging tourism destination.
The project, which was completed within six (6) months since its commencement last June 2019, involved road concreting and construction of grouted riprap. It was constructed in the total amount of P18.6-million under the 2019 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
Aside from the improvement of roads in Pantabangan, DPWH have other infrastructure projects lined up in Nueva Ecija to improve access to social services, boost tourism, and stir economic development in the province.
According to DPWH Nueva Ecija First District Engineer Gerardo T. De Guzman, they have also completed in 2019 the concreting of the 6.57-km General Luna, Carranglan - Conversion, amounting to P46.54-million.
