DPWH-Ifugao Second District Engineering Office has reported the completion of thirty (30) various infrastructure projects for CY 2014 in Ifugao province.

“With only about 45.59 kms. or about 23% of the 195.436 kms. of the secondary national roads of Ifugao 2nd DEO that will be left unpaved after CY 2015, we are hoping that all these roads will be paved by 2017 if the trend of project funding will push through,” Bangasan added.
DE Bangasan, OIC Assistant District Engineer Teofilo D. Ramirez, Jr., and all section chiefs of the district together with Representative Teodoro B. Baguilat, Jr., Aguinaldo Mayor Clemente S. Talusig, Alfonso Lista Mayor Glenn D. Prudenciano and representatives of the project contractors made an inspection at these completed projects and discussed issues and concerns on how to improve the accomplishments and performance of the District Office including proposed projects for CY 2015.
“I was pleasantly surprised to see how beautiful the roads are – wide, two lanes with curb and gutter and safety devices were installed. I never could imagine 5 years ago that these places will have good roads in a short period of time. it is important for usLegislators to monitor the projects that are funded through the national budget and make sure that the projects are implemented according to existing rules and regulations,” Rep. Baguilat said.
Mayor Talusig and Mayor Prudenciano also expressed their appreciation on the road improvements, ensuring safe and comfortable travel that will uplift the economic status of their municipalities since local agricultural products will be easily transported to the nearby provinces of Isabela and Nueva Vizcaya.
