Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that improved travel experience will soon be enjoyed by motorists and residents in Nueva Ecija with the rehabilitation of Pinagpanaan – Rizal – Pantabangan Road.
“DPWH Nueva Ecija First District Engineering Office (DEO) is working on the completion of 16.95-km asphalt overlay project of the road network that serves as main route going to Nueva Ecija and Aurora,” said Secretary Villar.
The improvement of the Pinagpanaan-Rizal-Pantabangan Road, which has an annual average daily traffic of 5,775 motorists, is part of the preventive maintenance of the secondary national road to facilitate greater mobility of people, goods, and services in the province.
In his report to Secretary Villar, Nueva Ecija First District Engineer Gerardo De Guzman said that they are also undertaking concrete reblocking along the 1.3-km section of the road as part of asset preservation measures.
The P96-million project funded under the 2019 General Appropriations Act (GAA) is now 70% complete and is set for completion on May 2020.
