The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of a new school building to aid the expected increase in number of enrollees come opening of classes on June 1, 2020 in Rabon Elementary School, Barangay Rabon, San Fabian, province of Pangasinan.

Amounting to a total of P10.2-million, the two-storey school building consists of four (4) classrooms measuring nine (9) by seven (7) meters each, with capacity to accommodate 144 students or 36 students per classroom.

Implemented by DPWH Pangasinan 2nd District Engineering Office, the project is equipped with six (6) units of rainwater collector tanks which are intended for reducing both water and electric consumption in the facility.

A ramp, which is being incorporated in the standard school building design, has also been installed in order to cater handicapped children and other Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).

“This new and sturdy school building will help deliver quality education by serving as a conducive venue for learning while providing utmost safety to both students and teachers,” said DPWH Pangasinan 2nd District Engineer Edita L. Manuel.

The project was implemented by DPWH with the use of the Basic Education Facilities Fund (BEFF) of the Department of Education (DepEd).
