The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the concreting of Gama Pequeño-Malaguinabot Tahing-Sitio Agdayao Road providing easy and fast commute in Calinog, Iloilo.

The P29.39-million project involved the concrete paving of 1.7-kilometer, two-lane, 6.1-meter wide, 280-milimeter thick road that includes a cross drainage system, slope protection, and thermoplastic pavement markings.

According to DPWH Region 6 Director Lea N. Delfinado, residents of communities along the newly concreted road now have a better access to establishments, recreational areas, health centers, schools, and Calinog’s town proper.

“The improved road will also strengthen the springboard development towards progressive Calinog which will help not only the living condition of the people but also the economic growth of the community,” added Regional Director Delfinado.

DPWH Iloilo 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) managed the implementation of Canilog’s Gama Pequeño-Malaguinabot Tahing-Sitio Agdayao Road enhancement project.
