Residents in the highlands of Northern Samar will soon have easier access to other provincial road networks and growth centers.
Citing a report from DPWH Northern Samar Second District Engineer Ferdinand A. Briones, Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the Mondragon-Silvino Lobos Road Phase 5 Project is now 57% completed and is seen to facilitate better mobility in highland towns previously disconnected from existing roads.
The ongoing project which spans 3.25-kilometers covers road opening and concreting, as well as construction of 81.4-meter Suba Bridge.
“The project is part of a longer road network that will play an active role in economic growth of Northern Samar,” said Secretary Villar.
Phase 5 section alone is something to look forward to because once fully completed, it will facilitate accessibility to the people in the area.
The Mondragon-Silvino Lobos Road Phase 5 is funded under the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace Process/Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (OPPAP/PAMANA) through the 2018 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
