Faster movement of vehicular traffic will soon be felt in Biliran with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) undertaking road widening projects along Biliran Circumferential Road (BCR).
Citing a report from Biliran District Engineering Office (DEO) District Engineer David Adongay Jr., DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the widening projects with a total amount of P80-million along Biliran Circumferential Road— covers the 1.6-kilometer section at Barangay Bato in town of Biliran, and 1.27-kilometer section along Barangay Cabibihan to Barangay Mainit Villa Vicenta in Caibiran.
“The extra road lanes will improve traffic safety and capacity as well as facilitate easier access of residents to the only provincial hospital and port in the province,” said Sec. Villar.
The implementation of the road widening projects along BCR is under the Road Network Development Program for Fiscal Year (FY) 2020.
