Rehabilitation works on the San Jose – Llanera Road in the municipality of Llanera, Nueva Ecija is now 90 percent complete.
According to Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, the improvement of the 3.472- kilometer road started in June 2019 will provide better travel experience for motorists.
“The quality of the road has been greatly affected by the volume of vehicles passing through the road everyday, thus the need to rehabilitate it to guarantee safer and smoother travel,” said Director Tolentino.
Implemented by DPWH Nueva Ecija First District Engineering Office, the P46.54-million project funded under the 2019 General Appropriations Act (GAA) involves construction of a concrete road along Barangay A. Bonifacio Sur in Llanera.
It complements the previously completed improvement of the 5.123- kilometer San Jose – Llanera Road traversing Barangay Palestina, San Jose City to Barangay Caridad Sur, Llanera, amounting to P48.659-million.
