The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of drainage canals along a section of Buenavista – Bunaguit Road in Agusan del Norte.
In his report, DPWH Agusan del Norte District Engineer Edmund V. Opinion said that the P14.6 million project involves construction of 1,108 lineal meter concrete drainage/line canal with provision of gravel road widening.
District Engineer Opinion said that the drainage canal will cater the rainwater from the pavement of Buenavista – Bunaguit Road, a vital tertiary road network connected to Agusan-Bukidnon Road and Agusan-Malaybalay Road.
“The project will prolong the service life of the road vital in the transport of agricultural products to markets and enhance accessibility for the traveling public”, said Engineer Opinion.
The project, started in July 2019, was funded under 2019 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
