
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has commenced the construction of a new Police Station Building in the town of Magallanes, Agusan del Norte Province.
The new Magallanes Police Station Building Project being implemented by the DPWH Region 13 in the amount of P12.31 Million involves the construction of a 3-storey, 450-square meter building that will house: Intel/Investigation and Warrant Section, Administrative Office, female and male detention cell, a pantry, counselling area, conference hall, COP Quarters, male and female comfort rooms, armory and roof deck.
According to DPWH Region 13 Assistant Regional Director Nomer Abel P. Canlas who represented DPWH Region 13 Director Pol M. Delos Santos during the groundbreaking ceremony, the building project will be constructed for a duration of 240 days.
The construction of a new Magallanes Police Station Building is part of DPWH-Department of National Defense (DND) Convergence Projects dubbed "Tatag ng Imprastraktura para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad" (TIKAS).
TIKAS aims to improve facilities and support the armed forces' ability to provide service and security.
