
Three (3) tourism road projects under the Department of Tourism (DOT) - DPWH Convergence Program of DPWH Region IV-A have been completed for CY 2015 Infrastructure Program.
These road projects funded by the DOT under the convergence program will make all travels to declared tourist spots convenient and accessible. Not only will these bring added revenue, these will also increase the tourism potential of the country.
The DPWH Regional Office IV-A reported the completion on March 2016 of the P68 million concrete paving of Maragondon-Alfonso Road, Cavite.
Another access road completed was the Atimonan-Mauban, Tignoan (Real Section) Road leading to beaches and resorts in Quezon Province which was completed on July 2016.
Furthermore, the construction /opening of coastal road as part of the proposed Taal Lake Circumferential Road with contract i.d. no. 15-DO-0031 along the municipalities of San Nicolas-Sta. Teresita-Alitagtag, Batangas was also completed. Other sections of the circumferential road is scheduled to be completed in 2017.
