Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the NLEX Corporation has resumed works on the NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 R-10 Exit Ramp, following new DPWH protocols on construction activities.

“We are glad to announce that another flagship project, the R-10 Exit Ramp of NLEX Harbor Link, is now back on track and has resumed construction activities,” said Secretary Villar.

“I would also like to acknowledge NLEX Corporation for committing to finish the segment by June 15 and fulfilling requirements to provide safer work place for our workers during this pandemic,” added Secretary Villar.

Secretary Villar noted that R-10 Exit Ramp was originally targeted for completion earlier but works were suspended for two (2) months due to restrictions from enhanced community quarantine .

Segment 10, Exit Ramp to R-10 is a 2.6-kilometer 4-lane elevated ramp that will extend NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 exit to Radial Road 10 (R-10), using C-3 Road as its route.

Once completed, it is expected to provide direct access between the Port Area and the northern provinces of Luzon and cut travel time from Port Area to NLEX to only ten (10) minutes.

The ongoing construction of NLEX Harbor Link R-10 Exit Ramp is under the supervision of the Toll Regulatory Board while DPWH handles the road right-of-way acquisition.
