
La Paz is considere d as the “Little Baguio” of Zamboanga City because of its cold temperature which could drop down close to 65 degrees Fahrenheit. The barangay is now considered a popular destination because of the famous Nancy Falls and the several resorts located in the area.
In line with the Tourism Road Infrastructure Program (TRIP), the Department of Public Works and Highways Regional Office 9 and Department of Tourism (DoT) have completed 18.3 kilometers of the total 26.68 kilometers of the National Highway to Ayala – La Paz Road project with an accomplishment of 68.59%. Regional Director Cayamombao D. Dia, in a statement said that the P1.130B tourism road project which began in 2013 and expected to be completed by 2021 has continuously spurred economic activity and tourism development in the area.
