The Department of Public Works and Highways has completed the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) General Headquarters (GHQ) and Headquarters Service Command (HSC) Firing Range in Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
The newly built facilities were inaugurated on September 10, 2020 by DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Delfin N. Lorenzana, and AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Felimon T. Santos, Jr. The blessing was led by AFP Chief Chaplain BGen. Raul S. Ciño.
In partnership with the DND – AFP and implemented by the DPWH Quezon City Second District Engineering Office, the P145-million project involves the construction of General Headquarters and Headquarters Service Command Firing Range at LOGCOM Area in Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo.
The shooting range facilities will be used as a permanent training and practice venue for the enhancement of skills and proficiency of military personnel. Likewise, these recreational facilities will hold shooting competitions for military personnel and its stakeholders.
Civil works began on February 18, 2019 and was completed on July 15, 2020.
