The road improvement project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) at Leon B. Postigo and Salug in Zamboanga Del Norte is now 70 percent completed.

We are targeting to complete by November 2020 the rehabilitation and improvement of 3.741-kilometer portion of Sindangan-Liloy Road, Secretary Mark A. Villar said.

Started in February 2020, the P93.160-million project of DPWH Zamboanga Del Norte 2nd District Engineering Office involves the removal of existing damaged asphalt pavement and replacing it to portland concrete cement pavement (PCCP), with thickness of 280 millimeters, construction of slope protection measures and upgrading of existing box culvert as drainage.

Once completed, the improved road will facilitate faster delivery of goods, riding comfort for commuters and reducing travel time by 30 minutes which will result to less maintenance cost for vehicles travelling the area.
