Better access to emerging tourism destinations awaits travellers to Dinalupihan, Bataan with the ongoing construction of the Sta. Isabel - San Ramon Diversion Road by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
Citing a report from DPWH Bataan First District Engineer Erlindo R. Flores, DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar said that the 1.79-kilometer access road is expected to be completed by December of this year to minimize congestion along the Jose Abad Santos Avenue.
The road project amounting P91.88 million funded under the 2020 General Appropriations Act (GAA) involves the opening of a two-lane concrete road to improve connectivity in Dinalupihan.
Secretary Villar also recognised the hard work of the DPWH construction team for continuing to work for the timely completion of the project despite the difficulties poised by the pandemic.
“The ongoing crisis may have slowed down our economic development this year but with the help of our workers on ground, faster delivery of goods and services can be expected with our infrastructure achievements,” added Villar.
