DPWH completes portion of Maddela Agri-Business Road Project to benefit corn, cassava farmers

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced the completion of Pedlisan-Dumabato Road Project Phase 1 in an agricultural municipality of Madella, Quirino Province.

Phase 1 section covers the construction of a new 2-lane road with provision of drainage systems, slope protection structures and road pavement markings along a 400-meter local road that is part of a proposed Pedlisan-Dumabato Road Project that will be 4 kilometers in length when completed.

“Pedlisan-Dumabato Road, a multiyear project being implemented under Roads Leveraging Linkages of Industry and Trade (ROLL-IT) Partnership Program of the Department in convergence with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to assist corn and cassava crops farmers in this area of Maddela,” said Secretary Villar.

The Pedlisan-Dumabato Road Project Phase 1 has received an allocation of P10 Million in 2020 General Appropriations Act.

Its remaining segments will be proposed for implementation in the coming years with the following breakdown and project scope: 800 meters of road under Phase 2 at P20 Million; 800 meters of road under Phase 3 at another P20 Million; and 2 kilometers of road at Phase 4 costing P50 Million.
