DPWH completes Multipurpose Building for Naval Intelligence and Security Force in Zamboanga City

A 2-storey building was recently completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to serve as a training barracks of Naval Intelligence and Security Group, Naval Forces Western Mindanao in Lower Calarian, Zamboanga City.

In her report to DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, DPWH Regional Office 9 Director Cayamombao D. Dia said that the building project costing P3 million has an 86.7-square meter area with four (4) rooms as quarters and transient rooms for officers, enlisted personnel.

Its ground floor homes a 16-square meter Petty Officer’s Quarter with 3.92 square meter-toilet and bath; 13.5-square meter Officer’s Quarter with 3.5-square meter toilet and bath; and a 32-square meter Enlisted Personnel’s Quarter with 3.7-square meter toilet and bath.

The second floor has a 20.76-square meter transient room with toilet and bath, and an additional roof deck level which was included in the original contract and therefore requested by the end user with an area of 22.04 square meter.

“With the completion of this project, we hope to provide conducive and commodious training place for Naval Forces Cadets in Western Mindanao,” said Secretary Villar.
