
The on-going construction of a P4.8-million barracks and headquarters inside the base of the 12th Military Intelligence Battalion, 12th Infantry by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Banga, Aklan is now 85 percent completed.
According to DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar, the ongoing 258-square meter building project will serve as a work office and lodging facility for military commanders and their staff.
DPWH Aklan District Engineering Office is targeting to complete the barracks and headquarters building, which consists of four (4) male/female quarters and two (2) common toilet and bath, by this October 2020.
By providing a convenient and comfortable quarters with standard size rooms and easy access to comfort rooms, we hope to motivate our military personnel to do their duties of serving the country and providing safety to the public as effectively and efficiently as possible, Secretary Villar said.
