Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that the Department has recently completed the widening of a section of Kapalong-Talaingod-Valencia Road in the town of San Fernando, Bukidnon.
“Since the Kapalong-Talaingod-Valencia road connects the province of Bukidnon and Davao del Norte, these extra lanes added will definitely cater to the increasing number of vehicles traversing the section and at the same time, improve traffic safety,” said Secretary Villar.
A total length of 2.76 kilometers has been widened from the section of Kapalong-Talaingod-Valencia Road which is considered as a secondary road and alternate route to the Bukidnon-Davao Road.
The 96-million project covers the road widening of a previously 2-lane road into 4-lanes and the construction of box culvert as drainage and riprap at critical sections.
The road-widening project is funded under the General Appropriations Act of 2020.
