Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that an international cruise ship facility project of DPWH will soon put the scenic Province of Palawan in the popular list of international cruise destinations.
Secretary Villar said that the P3.5 Billion Puerto Princesa Cruise Port and Facilities will truly boost the Philippines chance of luring more and more tourists to visit Palawan.
Secretary Villar lauded the DPWH Regional Office 4-B (MiMaRoPa) as he inaugurate the completed first four (4) phases of the 500-meter wharf and docking facility while also inspecting three (3) other phases which are on-going.
The Puerto Princesa City Cruise Port was designed to be 500 lineal meter by 21 lineal meter wharf to accommodate a large cruise liner. It is also provided with 36 lineal meter by 12 lineal meter trestle and 64 lineal meter by 13.4 lineal meter causeway which will serve as entrance to the Terminal Building with approximate area of 10,000 square meters that can accomodate 2,500 persons and passengers.
