In its quest to ensure excellence in the delivery of public service through a healthy workforce, the Department of Public Works and Highways Regional Office 9 has partnered with local hospitals, health facilities and workers in giving free medical program to its officials and employees.
Regional Director Jorge U. Sebastian, Jr. said that the entire DPWH IX personnel received a series of medical procedures. Estacio Laboratory performed Blood Extraction, Laboratory Test like Fasting Blood Sugar, Urinalysis and CBC while Flu Vaccination procedures were conducted by the Labuan Public Hospital. Free check-up and consultations were also given by Internists Dra. Karna L. Kamlon-Igasan and Dra. Ana Victoria Cabahug-Go.
The Regional Conference Room and Public Information Office turned into erstwhile clinics for several days to accommodate the entire rank and file community.
Top management submitted and went through said procedures believing that indeed, an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure.
