
The closing for the last batch of the Construction Safety and Health (COSH) Training in the Regional Office X was hgeld last November 11, 2016.
A total of 48 DPWH personnel and 5 private contractors attended the Training and conducted a site inspection at the ongoing Balulang-Macasandig Bridge and Approaches on the last day where they were divided into groups and given an hour to check the equipment, practices and workers on site.
The conduct of the Construction Safety and Health (COSH) Training was in coordination with the Occupational Safety and Health Network (OSHNet) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
This is in pursuant with the Occupational Safety and Health Standards and DOLE Department Order (DO) 13, s. 1998 which requires every construction project to have a suitable Construction Safety and Health Program.
To improve the condition of the safety and health at any workplace is one of the reasons why this was pushed through ensuring that the workers’ safety are being practiced.
