
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed new building facilities at Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City that are aimed to reinforce operations and boost the morale of troops.
DPWH Secretary Mark Villar with National Defense Secretary Delfin N. Lorenzana led on Thursday, June 17, 2021 the inauguration and handover ceremony of a four (4) storey male and female enlisted personnel barracks building and two (2) storey hospital facility at Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo Station Hospital.
Secretary Villar said that being in the frontline in protecting the country, we want nothing but the best for our armed forces.
These infrastructures are part of the Tatag ng Imprastraktura para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad (TIKAS) project which is a convergence project of the DPWH-DND, added Secretary Villar.
The P63.7 Million barracks facility will provide enlisted military personnel a safe and secure accommodation or billeting place for troops essential to mission accomplishment.
On the otherhand, the upgraded station hospital built with an allocation of P65 Million will be use as primary health care facility of Camp Aguinaldo for officers, enlisted personnel, civilian human resource.
The hospital facility has 25 beds for emergency services and inpatient cares as well as pharmacy, in-house laboratory, and imaging.
Construction of barracks and station hospital at the General Headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo were implemented by DPWH Quezon City 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) headed by OIC District Engineer Eduardo V. Santos and former DEO chief Ramon P. Devanadera and Loida S. Busa.
The project receives funding under 2020 GAA for Convergence and Special Support Program.
