Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar announced the completion of three (3) multi-purpose buildings inside Camp Osito D. Bahian, in Malaybalay City Bukidnon.
The P30-million multi-purpose building projects is a joint project by the Department of National Defense and DPWH through the Bukidnon 1st District Engineering Office (DEO) under the program Tatag ng Imprastraktura para sa Kapayaan at Seguridad (TIKAS).
The buildings will benefit the uniformed personnel of the 403rd Brigade, 4th Infantry Division of the Camp Osito D. Bahian.
Together with DND, we are hopeful that the improvement of infrastructure inside military camps will boost the morale of the Armed Forces and reinforce their ability in maintaining peace and security, said Secretary Villar.
A two-storey staff officer’s quarters was completed with 16 bedrooms, 4 comfort rooms, a kitchen, and dining hall.
Another completed facility is a Female Barracks which includes a space for training, an office, 2 toilets (1 each for male and female), a powder room, and a laundry area.
The third building is the Personnel Barracks equipped with an armory, a supply room, 2 bathrooms (with a total of 4 toilets and 11 showers), and a Rainwater Collection System.
Electrical, plumbing, and painting works were integrated in the plan and specifications to provide a more comfortable and livable space for occupants.
