
As of 12:00 noon Tuesday, September 7, 2021, a total of three (3) national road sections are impassable in the Cordillera Administrative Region and Eastern Visayas due to soil collapse and flooding brought by Typhoon Jolina.
Citing a collated report from the DPWH Bureau of Maintenance (BOM), DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar identified affected road in CAR as Jct. Talubin - Barlig - Natonin – Paracelis -Calaccad Road at K0421+500 - K0421+510, Chupac. Kadaclan, Barlig, Mt. Province which is closed due to soil collapse. A quick response team with equipment is currently clearing affected road section.
In Leyte, two (2) roads are closed due to flooding namely: Jaro-Dagami-Burauen-Lapaz Road at K0963+200 - K0963+900, Brgy. Canlingga, Dagami Town, and Sto. Rosario-Villaba Road K1007+100 - K1007+450. Warning signs were installed to inform the motoring the public in the area.
DPWH manpower, heavy equipment and vehicles from CAR, Regions 4A, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, and 13 are ready to response for the possible effect of Typhoon Jolina.
