New DPWH Office Building in Carmona, Cavite

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has a freshly built workplace for the hard working men and women and to proactively provide services to the stakeholders of Cavite 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO).

No less than DPWH Acting Secretary Roger G. Mercado was at the blessing ceremony for the new four (4)-storey office building of Cavite 3rd DEO in Brgy. Lantic, Carmona held Friday, October 29, 2021.

The event was also attended by DPWH Senior Undersecretary Rafael C. Yabut and Assistant Secretary Wilfredo S. Mallari of the Luzon Operations, Region 4A Director Jovel G. Mendoza, Carmona Mayor Roy M. Loyola, and other officials.

The new building is equipped with all the facilities and equipment needed to do job more effectively and for faster and more efficient processing of transactions and services to different stakeholders.

Secretary Mercado believes that the new conducive work environment will not only extend better services to the public but also boost employees’ morale to be more effective in their daily activities or tasks.

If we are more productive, we are more of service to the Filipino people, added Secretary Mercado.

From being a Sub-DEO, Cavite 3rd headed by District Engineer Donnie D. Cuna has come a long way since its reclassification in 2019 into a regular District Engineering Office by virtue of Republic Act No. 11351.

The creation of this new office is meant to further capacitate the DEOs of the Cavite Province in the implementation of various infrastructure projects and maintenance of roads, bridges, and other infrastructure facilities within the jurisdiction of DPWH Region IV-A.

Cavite 3rd covers in its jurisdiction the legislative districts of Bacoor, Dasmariñas, Carmona, Gen. Mariano Alvarez, and Silang.

The construction of the new office building is also in compliance to International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards and Department Order No. 81 issued on October 29, 2012, prescribing the location of offices, office space requirements, exterior design features and color scheme.
