The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced the completion of the 2.8-kilometer road concreting project to connect the towns of Baggao and Peñablanca, in Cagayan Province.

In his report to Secretary Roger G. Mercado, DPWH Regional Office 2 Director Loreta M. Malaluan said that the completed 2-lane road now links Barangay San Jose in Baggao and Barangay Quibal in Peñablanca side.

“This P91-million newly-concreted San Jose-Quibal Road facilitates better, faster, and safer connectivity between the two (2) towns,” added Director Malaluan.

Surrounded by farm lands, the road provides a scenic alternative route to motorists/travelers in this area of the province.

DPWH Cagayan Third District Engineering Office carried out the year-long construction of the project which commenced in March 2021.
