The Department of Public Works and Highways announces the resumption of road rehabilitation works along EDSA, C-5 and other road portions in Quezon City starting at 11PM, tonight, May 13, 2022.
The road reblocking and repair works will cover northbound directions of EDSA Shaw Mandaluyong City from EDSA Shaw Boulevard near Shaw MRT Station going to Doña Julia Vargas Avenue (near SM Megamall-Building D), innermost/busway lane and of EDSA Quezon City after New York Street to Kamuning, 1st lane from sidewalk.
Southbound directions of EDSA Quezon City after Aurora Boulevard to Arayat, 2nd lane from sidewalk; Service Road along South Avenue intersection, 3rd lane; corner South Avenue to Kamuning Road, 2nd lane from sidewalk; and EDSA Caloocan City before Urbano Plata Street, 2nd lane from sidewalk will be also closed.
Other affected areas in Quezon City include northbound direction of Mindanao Avenue from Phoenix Gas Station to after Road 20, 2nd lane/truck lane; Agham Road after Quezon Avenue, 2nd lane from center island; C.P. Garcia Avenue fronting U.P. Ayala TBI, 1st block and 2nd block from sidewalk; Times Street corner West Avenue fronting Kowloon House; and Tandang Sora Avenue from Visayas Avenue to San Miguel Street.
Meanwhile, C-5 Road will undergo the same road repair activity particularly at northbound direction of the 4th lane before Mckinley Road in Makati City and southbound direction of Pasig Boulevard in front of St. Ignatius de Loyola Health Care Services and near Sitel Building in Pasig City.
The affected lanes will be opened to traffic by 5AM on Monday, May 16, 2022.
Motorists are advised to expect traffic slowdown and to take alternate routes.
