Wednesday, June 8, 2022

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently completed ahead of time an off-carriageway improvement project along San Fernando-Lubao Road in the Municipality of Lubao in Pampanga.

The project involved the upgrading of the road’s 352.75-lineal-meter section in Lubao town through the implementation of DPWH Pampanga 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO).

According to District Engineer Gregorio D. Audea, Jr., the road improvement project also included the installation of road safety features such as reflectorized thermoplastic pavement markings and single arm posts with street lighting.

Through the much-needed road improvement and safety features installations, motorists now experience faster and more convenient travel along the national tertiary road.

Meanwhile, DPWH Secretary Roger G. Mercado commended the district office for the efficient undertaking of the road project that led to its early completion at least one (1) month ahead the target schedule in July 2022.

The road improvement project, funded under the General Appropriations Act (GAA) of 2022, cost a total of P6.3 million.
