The nearly completed construction of New Magsaysay Bridge along Bacolod South Road in Binalbagan, Negros Occidental will soon facilitate safer and more convenient travel for motorists and commuters.
The project implemented by Department of Public Works and Highways Negros Occidental 2nd District Engineering Office is a parallel bridge with a pre-stressed concrete girder on bored pile foundation.
Costing P76.9 million, the new bridge when finished will provide access to the southern half of Negros Occidental and increase road space, both of which would help draw more investors to the province, according to DPWH Region 6 Director Nerie D. Bueno.
Construction works on the New Magsaysay Bridge Project started in April 2021 and is 86 percent complete.
