
Residents in the Municipality of Dinalupihan, Bataan have been reaping the benefits of two (2) infrastructure projects completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the town.
DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing reports from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, identified the recently completed projects as the concrete paving of road in Barangay Old San Jose and the construction of a flood control structure in Barangay Roosevelt.
In Barangay Old San Jose, completed is the concreting of 1.67 linear kilometers of a local road that connects the community to the Angeles-Porac-Floridablanca-Dinalupihan Road.
The completed road project costing P49 million under the DPWH and the Department of Tourism (DOT) Tourism Road Infrastructure Program (TRIP) now provides safer and more convenient access to the various agro-tourism related attractions in Dinalupihan town.
Meanwhile, residents of Barangay Roosevelt are now better protected against flooding after a P49-million flood mitigation structure was constructed along the section of Colo River.
The 518.62-linear-meter river wall is seen to help minimize if not totally prevent damage to properties in the area due to Colo River overflowing in times of heavy rains or strong typhoons.
