The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) has recognized the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for its unwavering dedication to delivering quality public service.

In recognition of DPWH’s commitment to the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018, ARTA awarded the DPWH Central Office with a Silver Award for the “Very Satisfactory” rating in the 2023 ARTA Report Card Survey (RCS) 2.0.

Three (3) DPWH District Engineering Offices (DEOs) achieved Gold Awards for their outstanding service: Agusan del Norte DEO, Ilocos Norte 2nd DEO, and Zambales 1st DEO.

Additional Silver Award recipients included DPWH Regional Office 12, Laguna 3rd DEO, Negros Occidental 2nd DEO, Pampanga 3rd DEO, and South Manila DEO.

Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan commended the dedicated men and women of DPWH for their unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of public service.

“This ARTA recognition underscores our strong commitment to providing efficient, high-quality, and transparent service. It reflects our continuous efforts to meet and exceed public expectations,” Secretary Bonoan stated.

The RCS serves as a comprehensive measure of the Citizen’s Charter effectiveness, gauging its impact on reducing regulatory burdens and assessing DPWH’s human resource systems and programs that support efficient government services.

The awards were presented by ARTA Secretary Ernesto V. Perez, alongside Deputy Director General for Administration and Finance, Undersecretary Ricojudge Janvier M. Echiverri, and other ARTA officials during a ceremony on October 30, 2024 at the Conrad Hotel, Manila.
