
The Department of Public Works and Highways Regional Office 2 (DPWH-2) met with the local government officials to discuss the proposed bridge projects in Cagayan province.
Assistant Regional Director Alexander Nola and Construction Division Chief Jose Tabias conducted the initial stage for the proposed Cagayan Bridge projects by laying out the construction plans to Governor Manuel Mamba.
It was agreed that the feasibility studies on the Camalaniugan-Aparri Bridge, Anquiray-Abolo Bridge, and Sto. Niño-Lasam Bridge will start this year.
Governor Mamba proposed that the construction of the Nassiping-Dungao Bridge will be funded under the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP).
Other bridges under the Cagayan Development Agenda of the governor include the Camalaniugan-Aparri Bridge and the Amulung East-Amulung West Bridge to be funded by DPWH; and the Nassiping-Dungao Bridge under the PRPD.
The proposed construction of the Namuccayan Bridge and Alcala Bridge is also being prioritized by the local government.
Governor Mamba also expressed gratitude to Sec. Mark Villar for the Department’s support to construction of the vital bridges in the province.
