The reconstruction and improvement of Bonifacio Drive and widening of Anda Circle in Port Area, Manila has resumed on Monday, January 11, 2016.
Department of Public Works and Highways-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) Regional Director Melvin B. Navarro said they waited for the grand celebration of the Feast of the Black Nazarene on Saturday before they go on full-blast for the programmed road repair in the area.
“After the feast, we shall continue with the reconstruction and widening of Bonifacio Drive and Anda Circle on Monday, to ensure that we complete the project by March this year,” said Navarro.
Affected vehicles particularly those going to DPWH Head Office from P. Burgos/R-10 will be diverted to 25th Street then Railroad Street, whereas, those going out will be diverted to Railroad Street, then 16th Street or 13th Street.
Navarro said motorists may expect other Metro Manila road works to resume as the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority lifted its moratorium on road repairs.
DPWH-NCR resumed the weekend road works last January 8-11, 2016 at portions of EDSA Quezon City and C-5 Road Pasig City following a 2-week suspension imposed by the MMDA on diggings, reblocking and repairs because of traffic impact over the holidays.
