The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office 02 continues to support the ‘Oplan Balik Eskwela’ program of Department of Education (DepEd), aiming to provide safe and convenient learning environment for students in the region.
Regional Director Nerie D. Bueno instructed officials and staff to join students, teachers and parents in the cleaning and repainting of the Carig Elementary School classrooms and surroundings.
Led by Assistant Regional Director Alexander D. Nola, the workforce exhibited unity in maintaining and beautifying the campus. The agency also donated cleaning and painting materials to the school.
District Engineering Offices throughout the region were engaged in repainting and establishing of pedestrian lanes in schools, installing of warning signs, cleaning of canals and drainage including vegetation controls which are among the major activities undertaken in preparation for the upcoming opening of school classes, ARD Nola said.
