DPWH Cavite I DEO Completes School Building Project In Carmona

The Department of Public Works and Highways Cavite I District Engineering Office has joined in the turn-over ceremony of the newly constructed P40-million school building project under the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).

His Excellency President Benigno S. Aquino III led the turn-over of new 4-storey, 20-classroom structure to Carmona Elementary School in Barangay Poblacion, Carmona, Cavite, built under the “Matuwid na Daan sa Silid-Aralan” Program which aims to provide more classrooms and alleviate school building shortage in the Philippines.

Aside from His Excellency, the event was attended by DPWH Secretary Rogelio L. Singson, DTI Secretary Atty. Adrian Soriano Cristobal Jr., Congressman Alex A. Advincula (3rd LD of Cavite), Congressman Roy M. Loyola (5th LD of Cavite), Mayor Adalia Loyola of Carmona, PAGCOR Chairman Cristino L. Naguiat Jr., PCSO Chairman Ayong S. Maliksi, OIC-DE Teofilo A. Ayon (Cavite Sub-DEO) and DE Oscar U. dela Cruz (Cavite I DEO).

The school building project is a collaborative effort of PAGCOR, DPWH and DepEd. It started late December of 2014 under DCR Construction and is expected to benefit more than 1,000 students in Carmona Elementary School.
