An estimated number of 1,000 senior high school students of Ponteverda National High School in Ponteverda, Capiz can now occupy the 4-storey senior high school building completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Capiz First District Engineering Office (DEO).
The ₱30.379 Million worth school building is composed of 20 classrooms and is funded by the Department of Education (DepEd) under its Basic Educational Facilities Fund (BEFF).

The project addresses the shortage of classrooms brought by the full implementation of the K-12 program.

In the beginning of the school year, senior high school students of the said school were temporarily relocated to have classes at Capiz State University (CapSU)-Pontevedra Campus.
The newly built school building will now provide more conducive and safe learning facilities to the students.

The DEO is also fast tracking the construction of another 4-storey senior high school building worth ₱43.10 million in Panit-an National School in Poblacion, Panit-an Town.

It has also completed the construction of a 2-storey, 6 CL building in Congressman Ramon A. Arnaldo High School in Roxas City while four similar-sized school building projects are underway in the same school amounting to ₱8.081 million.
