A blessing and inauguration ceremony of the new building commenced last June 25, 2016 at the DPWH Cagayan de Oro 1st Engineering District. This was attended by Honorable Secretary Rogelio L. Singson, RD Evelyn T. Barroso, ARD Efren A. Berba, CDO 1st DE Yolanda T. Egam, CDO 1st ADE Evelyn A. Tirado, District Engineers, Assistant District Engineers, Division Chiefs and the rest of the staff and personnel.
The CDO 1st District Engineering Office was the first district office nationwide to follow the standard design prescribed by the Central Office similar with the Regional Office’s new building as well. The standard building design was initiated to create uniform buildings thus properly identifying DPWH offices.
The inauguration was made extra special with the presence of outgoing Sec. Singson who made it back to the city despite his heavy schedule. He recently visited the region 2 weeks ago and it was indeed a privilege for the office to have his presence once again.
“May the inauguration of this building inspire you to work hard and to cater to the people you are called to serve. In everything you do, put God in it,” Fr. Jobel Gulisao said during his homily.
The staff also grabbed the opportunity to have a photo with Sec. Singson for he will soon turn-over his post to the new Secretary in a few days.
